30 years ago i lived in chicago. its one of the most vile, corrupt and disgusting cities i've ever lived in. but the problem is social, not political, per se. i just heard where mike pence is suggesting automastic death penalties for all mass shooters! WHAT GOOD WILL THAT DO? the shootings have already taken place. the punishments are already there. what we need is a deterent. pop culture and maga are both HUGE factors. when was the last time you saw an action movie where A GUN wasn't the hero? both the right and left glamorize guns, violence and force to settle disputes and to get your way on social issues. the u. s. is gun and violence INFECTED! and its poisoning the entrire world.

if there's just cause to place a "restraining order" on someone there's just cause to arrest and prosecute that person. the entire system is a sham. its set-up to create the illusion that our laws protect us. but people in both the private and public sectors who're PAID to protect us refuse to do their jobs. i'm nearly 66 and RIGHT NOW, after 9 years of complaints, i'm suffering elder negelect and abuse by the ENTIRE california system! my neighbors abuse and terrorize almost daily. ELDER ABUSE! the cops won't even show up! they even deny me my right to file complaints. ELDER NEGLECT AND ABUSE! the landlord refuses to enforce the lease that protects me from this abuse. ELDER NEGLECT AND ABUSE! i'm extremely ill but denied doctor ordered medical tests and treatment although i'm fully covered by medicare. ELDER ABUSE AND NEGLECT! the health dept, lawyers and the news media ALL ignore my pleas for help! ELDER ABUSE AND NEGLECT! when the govt refuses to enforce its own laws and tells us "WE'RE ALL ON OUR OWN" we live in a lawless society and a completely FAILED country.

these worthless "protective orders" are just excuses for the courts and police not to do anything. after that initial attack that PREDATOR should've been given 5 years in the state pen. but what happened instead? a protective order that DID NOTHING to protect the victim from further abuse. when it comes to enforcing the law - THIS COUNTRY SUX BIG TIME! we live in a lawless society! and the irony is we have more people behind bars RIGHT NOW than any other country. our world makes no sense. btw, legal aid is a TOTAL SCAM!

@BlueLightningHawk ... jailing or killing the shooter after they commit mass murder doesn't do any good either. so what do you suggest? not do a goddamned thing and just let them kill? you MAGA fanatics are brainwashed beyond belief. you don't want restrictions on your possessing weapons of mass murder because you want those weapons for the coming civil war you want to happen. you want your guns to KILL your fellow americans. and that's disgusting!
