@AW-zv2to ... i think empathy doesn't actually make us personally FEEL the actual pain others are experiencing. empathy is just the ability to put ourselves in the situations others face to help us imagine what others may be experiencing. it helps us understand their pain without actually experiencing it first hand. do you, or anyone, actually have to be a victim of a physical attack to know the pain a victim of such an attack would feel? i've never had a baby but i can easily ascertain the pain involved. do you have to be poor to accept the realities of the stresses and horrors of poverty? I DON'T! that's empathy and its a NATURAL instinct that our society has taught us, all too well, to ignore.

I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT! the reality is our lives our controlled by "dark empaths." from CEOs and corporate board members, to teachers, to public and private sector administrators, employers, doctors, lawyers and politicians who manipulate us on a daily basis. we're ALWAYS expected to fulfill their needs and desires while our needs and desires our left unfulfilled. they condition us to respond to certain buzz-words and marketing slogans to manipulate us into knee-jerk reactions that benefit them and their goals and agendas. dark empaths are perhaps the most difficult to recognize. i know i've fallen for enough of them. BUT NO MORE! i simply refuse to listen to or believe anymore scams and lies. here's a clue - if they're rich, DON'T FALL FOR THEIR FAKE, SELF-SERVING EMPATHY. as for less wealthy dark empaths, they're less obvious. thanks again for video.

@sidneysoup5969 ... why do people project their being upset onto me? all i did was answer your question. your only legitimate response could be, "oh, ok. i understand now.. GREAT POST!" but you decide, instead, to claim i'm upset. my god what's wrong with people? just over the last 5 years everyone, on the right and left, black and white, religious and ashiest and gay and straight have gone BONKERS! we can't even communicate anymore. there's no respect, dignity or common sense. i have a 162 i. q. but i can't figure out what's going on here! NOTHING MAKES ANY SENSE! when did kindness become a damned sin? (sigh) why does everyone try so damned hard to be JERKS and TROLLS? humanity has truly lost its way.

@sidneysoup5969 ... see, you're making excuses for you're horrid, yet so common behavior. when a simple apology would suffice and prove you now understand what's going. but you just can't bring yourself to do it. you just can't admit you made a mistake. like i said in my first response to you - LEARN FROM ME! stop making excuses for your own mistakes. its how you grow. its how WE ALL GROW! but your stubborn, selfish, misplaced pride prevents you from doing what's right. THIS IS WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND. i've misinterpreted people's comments before. and when i discover my mistake I APOLOGIZE! its not hard. its just THE RIGHT THING to do.

after viewing "The Passion" my sister said she never knew crucifixion was so horrible. i almost fell out of my chair. my sister is completely devoid of empathy. as she's confirmed to me on many other occasions. empathy is being able to place yourself in the stead of others; walking in their shoes, as they say. its not just understanding them but being able to FEEL their pain (or joy) yourself. i've never been raped or homeless or crucified, but i know EXACTLY how horrible these things are. its the ability to feel things you've never actually experienced yourself. now, like you implied, predators can take that empathy and use it against their targeted victims. i guess that's the dark empathy discussed in this video.
