actually, socialism is THE only economic system that can sustain a democracy. i've been saying this for 25 years now; socialism is economic democracy and democracy political socialism. the one can't exist without the other. fascism is THE political system of capitalism and capitalism the economic system of fascism. THE ONE CAN'T EXIST without the other. its just that simple. the thing about the fascist right, of which mcconnell is a member, is that the word "socialism" is a "qualifing demonizer." they've misrepresented economic justice and democracy to the point of instilling GREAT paranoia and fear into ALL their gullible followers just upon the mere mention of socialism. and they play all kinds of games with the word "fascism" too. but all they have to do is attach the word "socialism" to anything they don't like to demonize it. abortion is socialism. homosexuality is socialism. taxing the rich is socialism. finding trump the traitor guilty of sedition is socialism and will only divide our precious capitalist society. this is how fascists play with the truth. and the left, more and more, are adopting these fascist tactics themselves. fascism is exploding all around us and we EASILY see it in others but rarely see it in ourselves.

@rosehuber1997 ... you are so right. its called "fire-hosing." its the repeating of a lie ad nauseum to the point that sad, gullible and paranoid people begin to believe it. this is ALL trump did for the last 5 years. ever notice how HE NEVER backed down from any of his lies regardless of the evidence against him? when accused of a lie, trump just LIED MORE! i keep trying to correct people's misuse of words, on the right and left, but keep being attacked from ALL sides as a result. is it any wonder people can't communicate with each other? both sides just accept and propagate the lies, the fire-hosing being done by their respective leadership. and much of this fire-hosing is being funded by corporate america. the intent of fire-hosing is too create confusion, suspicion and DIVISION. so mistrust among the people is so ENTRENCHED it keeps us from unifying against our common enemy. and that common enemy is FASCISM!
