this is all based upon the art of manipulation. a very dangerous practice when abused or used by "marketers," corporations and politicians. its much easier to sell overpriced, worthless, unneeded junk when you simply lie to people or misrepresent yourself or the product or service being sold. its entered into the political arena through schemes called "astro-turfing." trump calls this manipulation "the art of the deal." others call it hyperbole. but all it is is FRAUD! edward Bernays, freud's nephew, started this psuedo-science of mass manipulation and its been abused by dictators, con-artists, serial killers, serial rapists and corporations ever sense. anyone ever notice that no one ever got rich from kindness, compassion or honesty?

@rosevan7845 ... a "corp job?" you mean a job at a big, fascist, profit-over-people corporation? who wants to be a slave for rich people? do their bidding and help them ruin the lives of others? here's the problem. way too many idiots are willing to sell their souls for nice cushy jobs working for corporations that do nothing but steal, defraud and harm people and society. corporations that in fact care nothing about their own employees. emplyees are nothing but expendable cattle to these corporate monstrosities.

@Andrew-rc3vh ... interesting strategy. it could work. basically, what you're saying is limit your consumerism to buying only what's on "sale" or is marked down. but "sale" scams inundate capitalism. there's the old "bait-and-switch" scam that's very effective. companies can lie about their products, services and prices. no one stops them. the reality is consumers are blind and powerless. we're not allowed to read the financial books of the companies we patronize. we're kept at a perpetual disadvantage that's designed to be there.

@777lucifero ... actually, you sound just like ayn rand. her message - if you want to be rich, do what the rich do. SCREW EVERYBODY for fun and profit.

@1crazypj ... the inherent gangsterism of capitalism. mario puzzo said it perfectly - "its not personal. its business." that lie has been used to commit and excuse the greatest crimes in history.

@MatthewHensley8304 ... i warn people of their blind acceptance and daily use of police-state technology all the time. they don't care. they keep claiming their slavery to the police-state is a miracle of modern science. and these are the brainwashed minions we trust with the vote. it doesn't matter if you're on the right or the left. you're a blooming idiot. no wonder the world's in total mayhem and on the brink of collapse.

capitalism is doing a number on all of us. any system where the most selfish, greedy, unethical predators rise to the top of the social ladder, either politically or economically, is a destructive, dysfunctional and manipulative system. capitalism pits us against each other. its a system based on conflict not cooperation. but not all manipluation is bad. there is such a thing as "constructive manipulation." manipulating others to be ethical, kind and empathetic is what we need more of. but kindness and empathy aren't rewarded. no one EVER got rich from being kind, generous or fair. good manipulation is denounced and despised in a world ruled by gangsters.
