  1.  @ganymeade5151  ... you're right. these unused 2nd, 3rd or 4th homes are tax write-offs. the rich don't do ANYTHING unless it makes them money. the depreciation, alone, on these properties is a tax-write off and makes money for these people. the cost of up-keep and the property taxes, themselves, are both tax-write-offs. rich jerks buy businesses just to see them fail for tax-write-offs. making 1000s of people unemployed make rich people tons of profit. rich people start charities just for the tax write-offs. only the rich can buy expensive, over-priced crap and make money from it.

  2.  @thejudge3132  ... its the home of the federal naval academy. i'm sure there aren't many pockets of homelessness or extreme poverty there. i used to live in baltimore, ellicott city to be exact. and it was a veritable middle class paradise compared to the rest of baltimore. i discovered the closer you got to d. c. the richer the communities became. that is until you actually entered d. c. there's a lot of poverty in d. c. proper. i had a buddy who lived in alexandria, va and it was EXPENSIVE!

(i rarely follow links but i think i'll follow yours.). isn't the "venus project" a part of this movement? its ashame that our rulers have convinced so many of our species to REJECT and DENOUNCE its natural state. technology, alone, isn't progress. technology working in conjunction with nature and OUR TRUE NATURE is progress. technology without enlightenment is just more mindless tyranny and corruption. the problem is, we CONTINUE TO possess a bronze-age mentality but we're living in a highly advanced technological age. our technology is moving WAY FASTER than we are. and our break from our natural instincts is the cause of all our mental illnesses, apathy, addictions, anxieties, depressions, delusions and self-destructive tendencies. so few can, or want to see the the signs. we're headed for a massive social collapse. its plain as day.

  16.  @mareewalker1096  ... my apologies for my harsh response to your comment. i'm just fed up. i defend what i wrote but not the way i wrote it. climate change is real. the police-state and climate change are our two biggest threats today. i'm just tired of people claiming corporatism is acceptable in one respect but evil in another respect. corporatism is a threat to us in EVERY respect. the police-state being constructed is a CORPORATE police-state. wisdom doesn't come from knowing the media lies to you. it comes from knowing WHEN it lies to you. they don't lie about everything. for instance, when the media says good things about corporations that's more than likely a lie. when they warn of us the bad things corporations are doing that's the truth. i hope you accept my apology in the sincere spirit in which it was given.

MONEY ALONE ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH ANYMORE! we must now possess their police-state technology to function! its not the govt doing this. its the damned corporations who have corrupted and now own our govt that's the problem!

  22. as usual yt is blocking my comments. here's my original post - my story is called - "What I Saw as a REAL Poor Person." odd how no one is interested in my story. i'm an american sentenced to poverty. although i committed NO CRIME i'm punished everyday. corporations and elite land speculators have made affordable housing so sparse its booked for years. now renters are REQUIRED to have 3 times the rent in income which means, living on s. s., i don't qualify for ANY rental over $400 a month. AND THEY DON'T EXIST! some poor have learned to manipulate the system to make their housing inter-generational as they hand their govt subsidized housing to their kids making affordable housing EVEN HARDER to attain. as a very ill, elderly person on FULL medicare i'm routinely denied much needed medical care. I CAN BARELY FUNCTION. i've notified adult protective services who DO NOTHING! i've notified politicians, govt agencies, doctors, lawyers and even the news media and NO ONE gives a damn. i'm denied legal representation as lawyers refuse to help the poor. i can't even sue my abusers! we poor, disabled and elderly are left to fend for ourselves and since we DON'T HAVE THE RESOURCES we're left to suffer and be abused by everyone in sight - even other poor! this is THE REAL U. S. that no one will allow me to expose!
