@marcellinechoisne5627 ... very poetic and beautifully written. but i don't know, wasn't Marilyn Monroe a star that was a "candle in the wind"? it does indeed, boil down to - this short time we have on earth is all we got. let's make the best of it. we're ALL on this journey together. but all we seem to want to do is to suspect, accuse and hate each other. and look where its gotten us. i think its time to try a DIFFERENT approach.

@silalumen643 ... you understand what that verse means don't you? it has more to do with your choice of friends than any sacrifice you might make for them. it means, make sure your friends have the moral and ethical character worthy of your defense and FRIENDSHIP! then you can JUSTIFY giving your life in their defense. the verse advocates for justice more than anything else. JUSTICE is worth dying for - that's what that verse means.
