THAT'S ILLEGAL! no cop has the right to PREVENT anyone from filing a police report or a criminal complaint. and no cop has the right to refuse to investigate an alleged crime. the cop supervisor told me flat out - they would NEVER investigate a crime committed by a landlord. when i notified the FBI, of both the police corruption and of the extortion, it occurred across state-lines, they told me to stick it up my ass. during the ten years since i've been the victim of continuous criminal harrassment from my neighbors. i have evidence of this too. the kern county sheriff's dept refused to let me file a complaint. in fact they refused to respond AT ALL! when the same neighbor filed a false report against me the cops RESPONDED TO HER COMPLAINT! i proved to them the neighbor filed a false complaint against me. ANOTHER CRIME! the cops again REFUSED to enforce the law. the damned cop told me - we have better things to do than baby sit you people. (a direct quote.) YET ANOTHER CRIME committed by the cops. its a common scam for cops to claim the crimes committed against you are civil matters. i've notified lawyers of these criminal infractions. they, TOO, refused to enforce the law. and they flat-out denied me my right to legal representation because i'm poor. @joeneil5485 ... no, i contacted the lapd. my landlord illegally raised my rent without informing me and conned my elderly, 80 year old parents, who lived 2000 miles away, to pay for it and keep the arrangement secret from me. my parents were paying MY rent increases for over 7 years without my knowledge or consent. this also tricked me into continuing my residency there, didn't allow me the option to move and violated my right to "full disclosure." i even have a letter sent to my landlord from therir bank asking them what these payments were? the landlord just started putting the checks into a different account to cover it up. its called extortion and a violation of the lease. and the cops and lawyers couldn't give a shit.

@joeneil5485 ... "gotcha" nothing. its a criminal offense. its called fraud and extortion. and "pro bono" is a myth. it only applies to about 1% of those who need it, if it works at all. the poor are routinely denied law enforcement and legal representation. didn't you even read my comment?

@joeneil5485 ... extortion is "the demand for or acceptance of money that isn't legally owed to you through force, fear, fraud or color of right. "force" and "fear" means "threats." "fraud" means "misrepresentaion." and "color of right" means claiming legal right or authority when there is none. this is what happened to me and my parents.

@joeneil5485 ... the point is both courses of action, criminal and civil, are denied me and the rest of the poor. on top of that, these ARE crimes committed against me. the criminals belong in PRISON! and they'd be there right now, followed by a civil suit, if my constitutional rights were protected!

@adaptercrash ... yep. you need a lawyer first. and the system is designed to deny most of us legal representation. like the "medical industry" the "legal industry" has purposely priced itself out of the reach of 75-85% of the population. if the poor had any real legal representation in this country do you think there'd really be anymore poor? the very concept of the "working poor" is legally indefensaable. its ethically and morally indefensible. if capitalism allowed the poor equal access to the courts there'd be no more poor. and the ruling elite want poverty. they use poverty vas a warning to others, a threat, a punishment. the mere existance of poverty is a mechanism of control.
