man, i wish it was three days. here in california its a mere overnight notice. its supposed to be 24 hours but landlords don't follow the law or enforce their leases if it interferes with their authority. and of course law enforcement allows landlords to break the law at will. did this guy ever think of calling the cops? wow! there'a an idea! the cops refusal to enforce the law is the reason vigilantiism and mass murder are at all time highs. also, was the neighbor at home? did they call the cops when they heard their neighbor's door being kicked in? there's better solutions to these problems than people shooting aimlessly through their doors. how about providing EVERYONE with a door bell camera to help stop all this insanity?

@Just.A.T-Rex ... renters have extremely few rights in this country and neither the left or the right are defending renters rights. they're both too busy normalizing and glamourizing insanity to care about the rights of renters. corporations have taken over the housing and apt industries demanding ridicilous restrictions on renters, creating a housing shortage and driving up prices. meanwhile homelessness is EXPLODING all across the nation. and if you're a smoker our govt says you don't deserve a home. affordable housing is NON-existent today. but the elite on the right and left are too busy forcing their particular BS on society to care.

@bsrodeo7s ... now remember we're talkng about an "notice of entry." in cali there are 3 and 5 day notices to "comply with lease" or face eviction. and there's a 30 day notice before a change in lease can take effect. 60 days if the rent is raised over 10%. but in every apartment i've lived in my lease states only a 24 hour notice is required for entry. and they're alkways issued at the end of the day to be effective the following day resulting, in effect, in a mere overnight notice. i've been to eviction court in L. A. i won my case and my landlord was allowed to refile another eviction case against me just two days later. that's called justice in the u. s. the eviction judge made it clear that there was NO standard lease law in california. so each lease can be different than any other. i didn't tell the judge he was wrong. that there are state laws that apply to EVERY lease, like 30 day notices to change the lease. it all boils down to AMERICANS are screwed by property owners 1000s of times a day. and NO ONE is doing a damned thing about the corporate caused housing shortage crisis or the explosion in rental rates!
