YES! these apt management companies are doing their part in driving up rental costs! i can't afford to spend money on countless application scams indefinitely. i was recently denied a rental because my income wasn't THREE TIMES the rent! THAT'S INSANE! I PAY MORE THAN HALF OF MY INCOME ON RENT NOW! never missed a rent payment in 45 years of renting and this is my reward! to be denied a rental for being too poor although i can afford to pay! and my current landlord refuses to enforce the lease against my neighbors who've harassed and abused me for 6 years! so my two choices are - continued harassment and a criminal landlord that allows it or homelessness! THAT'S WHAT AMERICA HAS BECOME! there's another word for "private equity firms." its called gangsterism. the only difference between these firms and organized crime is that the fraud and theft committed by the firms is legal. but the only reason its legal is because of bribery and corruption. if the mafia had the money they'd be completely legal too. the law is based upon NOTHING but who has the most money to spend to buy politicians and political parties. america is run by gangsters and has been for sometime. and this is called capitalism.

The decision was penned by Justice Antonin Scalia. it was a 7-2 decision. this insanity is equal to that of the "citizens united" decision that illegally declared corporations as people and legalized political bribery in the u. s. we don't have a country anymore. its been taken over by corporate interests, special interests and political lobbies. we live in a LAWLESS society where corruption and gangsters RULE!
