I'M IN DESPERATE NEED OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE! but i've been denied treatment for my condition for OVER TEN YEARS! for too many reasons to list here, I FEAR even asking for medical care now! why keep seeking care when i'm just DENIED and ABUSED over and over again! instead of finding excuses to help people, our society is set up to find excuses to DENY people help!   6. @DensLight ... in your previous statement you just revealed the flaws of minimum wage and the cause of inflation. inflation is caused when businesses raise their pices 5% to counter a 2% raise in wages. its the consumer who actually pays the wages of ANY business and its the business owner or the "investors" who reap the profits. meanwhile, wages will NEVER be set to increase to match the rate of inflation. its a perpetual game of "catch-up" that labor can never match or win. this is the flaw in minimum wage. the system is designed to be ineffecient. for every COLA increase in minimum wage the capitalists increase prices even more. and minimum wage isn't even set to automatically increase at the annual rate of inflation. minimum wage remains stagnant for years while inflation increases every year.

  7.  @Mockduck2020  .... yes, my friend. capitalism results in socialism for the rich in the since they, as a group, or class, recieve privileges and advantages we ALL deserve but remain unavailbe to the rest of us. but, by definition, socialism is anti-elitist and anti-privilege. where we're all socially equal. so its not real socialism. but its a good analogy to demonstrate to people how capitalism steals their human rights from them and gives them, exclusively, to the ruling elite. thanks for the reminder!

  8.  @Mockduck2020  ... you know who controls our lives and dictates to us more than the govt? our employers and the retailers we use. they interfere and affect our daily lives more than any other entities. you ever work for a company or shop at a retailer that allowed their emplyees or patrons to VOTE on anything? no, they just do what they want. the public be damned! the word "democracy" applies to ALL society, not just politics or politicians. as long as we continue to be RULED by people and policies we never voted for we don't have a democracy. furthermore, capitalism allows politicians to be bought and beholden to those who buy them. CAPITALISM CORRUPTS EVERYTHING! capitalism and democracy CAN'T COEXIST! they're diametrically opposed to one another.

  9.  @robertmichalscheck3072  ... don't be fooled. democrats take corporate donations too. and they all invest in the stock market too, just like the GOP. rich people fund BOTH SIDES! they want their privileged status INTACT regardless of who's in power. but the dems, at least, say the rich should pay fair taxes and support a livable wage. the GOP's so corrupt they won't even do that. trump, in one of his "debates" during the 2016 election, admitted publically that he bribed politicians in exchange for favors. but he didn't use the word "bribe." he pointed to several other GOPers in the debate as examples of who he bribed. he did this as a criticism of those GOP "establishment" candidates but he inadvertantly confessed to crimes! and NO ONE on either side reported on it. they ALL ignored it. why? because bribery is standard proceedure in american politics. when you expose the GOP for their accepting bribes you expose the dems as well! that's why they all remained silent on trump's public confession.

  10.  @Mockduck2020  .... i agree. the whole system stinks to high heaven. you know, there's already laws in place that protect us from this corruption. but they aren't enforced. anti-trust laws protect us from monopolies - but they aren't enforced. there's laws against bribery but the so-called "supreme court" decided, in their "citicens united" decision, that bribery is perfectly acceptable. did you know, In the cases DeShaney vs. Winnebago and Town of Castle Rock vs. Gonzales , the supreme court ruled that police agencies are not obligated to provide protection of citizens. what good is a govt that refuses to enforce its own laws? what good is a govt that doesn't protect its own people from the predation and injustices that inflict them everyday? what good is our govt? its not a democracy. its not a republic. its a cesspool of corruption otherwise known as an ologarchy, an aristocracy and many other names apply to.

  12. @DensLight ... this is how its designed. the rich write the the laws. as long as business can charge whatever the hell they want, without reason or logic, inflation will remain rampant and the consumer/wage-earner will forever be screwed. in other words the rich wrote the laws to their advantage and the profiteers and price-gougers will ALWAYS WIN! the reality is - INFLATION is man made. its not the result of "natural" market forces but the result of greed and corruption. there's no such thing as "natural" market forces. there's only market exploitation and manipulation. did you know that for 1000s of years the average global inflation rate was about 2%-3% PER CENTURY?! its now 2%-3% PER YEAR!

  14.  @stevenmeyers1226  ... the fed controls interest rates and the amount of money in public circulation through loans to banks. that's all it does. did you know banks can make profit from interest recieved from loaning money that doesn't exist? the fed allows this. what causes inflation is greed; the rise of prices to increase profits. and nothing else. this is usually the result of a rise in property values. property values affect the price of everything. even more so than fuel prices. ever notice how when the price of gas and property values increase retail prices increase? but when fuel and property costs decrese retail prices NEVER decrease? once prices go up, they stay up, even when fuel costs and property values go down! corporate profits are at all time highs. capitalism's a scam pure and simple. capitalism, itself, is one HUGE open conspiracy. the wealthy conspire to increaee their wealth and power while screwing society in the process. THAT'S CAPITALISM! the rich don't give a damn about nothing but maintaining their own power, privilege and opulance.

  15.  @charleshamilton5996  ... i like bernie too. he has his flaws but he's 100 times than anyone else in the senate. let me make two points if i may; 1) bernie needs to find and "appoint" a successor or 20. he's older than biden, trump, pelosi and mcconell! he needs to be grooming a multitude of successrs to carry on his work after he's gone. the GOP already does this and quite successfully. its time the so-called "progressives" prepare for the future. ALSO, bernie and the left need to be more tolerant of the views of others. i'm a TRUE progressive, have been for 45 years, and my views have been shut out of the "left" entirely. the left has been taken over by fascist minded people. 2) because of this i've founded a new philosophy called "equalism." equalism rejects the fascism now so abundant on both sides! equalism says - there's no such thing as "democratic socialism." ALL socialism is democratic. if there's no democracy then there's no socialism. sanders, chomsky and many, many others still spread the misconception that some socialism can be authoritarian. IT CAN'T! equalism asks - when are we going to reject the lies that divide us and accept the truths that unite us? sorry for the length of my comment.
