another violent capitalism tradition that refuses to go away. this makes about 20 trillion now going back 6000 years. that elderly women belonged in an institution. or a "home." where they'll keep her away from knives. the adult kids can no longer care for or control her. but who can afford it? the poor aren't allowed luxuries like "elderly care." or childcare. or human rights. or political representation. or LEGAL representation. I KNOW! i live in poverty and experience these indignities and injustices EVERYDAY! and i scream my head off but no one gives a shit. fasten your seatbelt, fools. its only going to get worse this coming election.

@robshelden4670 ... that's very kind. but its not the response i was looking for. we poor don't need sympathy. we need justice. i may very likely become homeless although i can pay rent. i was just turned down for a rental because i didn't make more than three times the rent. its INSANE! i pay over half my income in rent right now. never been evicted or late in rent in 40 years of renting and this is my reward. i want to move but i'm NOT ALLOWED! i can't stay here any longer because for 7 years my landlord and neighbors continue to harass and abuse me. and the cops won't stop them! i can't stay here but i can't move! homelessness is my only choice at the moment. that's what this country has become! gangsters get rich and the people get screwed.
