of course their are enclaves of "foreign" cultures brought from both legal and illegal immigrants that purposely separate themselves from American culture. they do assault and threaten those outside their cultures from entering their enclaves. they restrict their own people from exposure to outside contamination. street gangs have this goal and what do you think a cult is? these foreigners use cultist and gangster tactics to keep outside influences from corrupting their culture. these closed off immigrant cultures do exist but I don't think its a widespread phenomena. but it also goes the other way. "mainstream" culture is just as protective of itself. but I think no one should immigrate anywhere without the desire to compromise some of their traditional culture. and this means adopting the language of the country your immigrating to. lastly, illegal immigration shouldn't be accepted from left or right. that's insane!
