  1. the problem is ITS ILLEGAL! ever since ford pardoned nixon in 1974 the pardon privilege has been widely misused and abused. the pardon IS NOT INTENDED to be a get-out-jail-free card! there's legal and ethical restrictions on its use. 1) one CAN'T pardon one's self. 2) one must first be convicted of a crime BEFORE being pardoned. otherwise there's nothing to pardon. 3) vetting must be conducted by a neutral third party (like the fbi or doj) before anyone can be considered for a pardon. 4) you can't pardon those who committed crimes on your behalf. 5) you can't pardon family members, friends, business associates, political allies, employees or employers or ANYONE you personally know. ALL THESE RESTRICTIONS are already implied in the constitution. they're already law! odd how the consitution is the law-of-the-land but has NO ENFORCEMENT clauses! ignoring and violating the constitution is as easy as just doing IT! there's no one to stop you! trump has proved this over and over again!
