  1. demonization of one's opponents is a common fascist tactic. and they'll demonize through projection: accusing their enemies of what they, themselves, are doing. "misinformation" is the spreading of wrong or incorrect or inaccurate info. "disinformation" is doing this INTENTIONALLY! misinformation is taking a lie told by someone else and spreading it not knowing its a lie. disinformation is telling a falsehood you know to be a lie and spreading it for nefarious, usually political purposes. these days both sides demonize, project, misinform and disinform as standard operating procedure all in the name of achieving misguided goals.
