  1. in the past conservatives might've published books exhaulting the virtues of conservatism, capitalism, the military and other conservative principles. but now they're they're pushing the "virtues" of ONE MAN? conservatism has clearly been reduced to the gutter level of a personality cult. they did the same thing with reagan though. since reagan the GOP has been basically "leaderless." until trump came along. the Dems have done this too with FDR and kennedy. they turned them into iconic heros for their cause. i've been saying this for 40 years. DON'T follow people! FOLLOW IDEAS! people are flawed. an idea can be destroyed by demonizing the person promoting it. but if the idea isn't attached to single person then the GOOD idea becomes harder to demonize. an idea, a principle, a position should stand on its merits alone. not on the character of the people who support it!
