trump's only skill is as a master fire-hoser. when the truth and reality interferes with your plans just lie and keep repeating that lie. people will begin to believe the lie even contrary to their own experiences and common sense. its a common fascist tactic and Dems do it to. but no one's better at it than trump.

unemployment is low but poverty is high. the stock market doesn't reflect the overall health of the economy. a strong stock market only benefits the rich. and strong employment numbers don't reflect a secure working class. trump and biden (and almost every president) brags about high employment numbers but fail to mention that most of the jobs being created pay poverty level wages. its ALL a scam. the ruling elite creating the illusion of economic security and stability all the while 85% of the population falls deeper into debt and poverty.

@carlathigpen74 ... minimum wage is like "cola" increases. they're in a perpetual state of carch-up. despite the lies we're told by so-called economists the u. s., and the world, is suffering from 40 years of hyper-inflation. prices for everything are rising faster than wages even with federal minimum wage laws in place. since 1980 when reaganomics took effect the wealth of the rich has increased over 500% while wages and social security benefits have decreased in real value. also, the rich and their corporations, not the poor, are BIGGEST recipients of govt aid. through tax breaks, tax loopholes, govt contracts and govt subsidies the rich get richer while they fight every attempt to better the lives of the lower classes. there are no capitalist solutions to capitalism's problems. capitalism and its corrupt "profit-motive," and "consumer-based" economics isn't designed to make poor people rich but to make rich people richer. and it succeeds at this scam very well.

@leonardfoster2155 ... well aquiring job skills is expensive. union busting has seen to that. unions used to guarantee on the job training in their contracts. but gone are the days of paid internships and apprenticeships. why pay people to learn a trade if you can charge them outrageous prices for it? corporate lawyers wrote the "student loan program" scam. it was designed to con workers into unrecoverable debt at the earliest possible age. notice how the cost of college and trade schools have SKYROCKETED since that scam program went into effect. our rulers NEVER MISS A SCAM to make themselves richer at the expense of the rest of society.

@pellestorck3776 ... from 1945 to 1975 the u. s. saw the largest increase in the middle class in human history. this was due to several factors including winning ww2 with little domestic damage, the g. i. bill, the glass-steagall act (passed in 1933), low interest rates and property values and mass unionization. then our rulers pulled the "energy" crisis (the gas shortage) in the early 70s and everything began to change for the worse. since 1980 and the introduction of laissez-faire reaganomics union busting, the wealth of the elite has increased over 500% while wages and social security has decreased in real value. interest rates, property values and corporate profits have shyrocketed. clinton repealing the glass-steagall act in 1999 only excelerated this process causing many economic crisises in the years since. we're now suffering from HYPER-inflation although few economists will admit it. the middle class is sinking into poverty as prices explode. the ones who stay afloat do so through unrecoverable debt. (living on debt is what keeps many middle class above water.) rents, mortgages, medical and utility prices and the cost of education and job training are creating a homelessness crisis nationwide as entire families now live in their cars or with friends or relatives. our ruling elite has turned the american post-war economic miracle into an apathetic, disgusting, dispicable nightmare. this is the REAL america today.
