I noticed a big change between 2011 and 2014 boolean an key word searches were not working, when I would type video I would get a list of 20 different video sharing sites, home pages with videos and so on, now ßlmost everything points to Google products snd services.

as a researcher hell yes, keyword searches dont work, bollean searches are questionable, and the fact that i have no choice to remve google from my phone, and if more people would migate back to theother video sites i would leave this place.

and it doesnt help the so called other search engines use the same index as google and bing and even pay google anf bing to use the list, yur just using google or bing through a back door.

@finnderp9977 i used it in school I meant they changed auto correct to strongly suggest using woke and political correct language. And they used to have a very robust Grammer correction a long time ago, but I moved on to Linux and other cheaper word processors.

@tomizatko3138 or going back to the way it was designed, having own webpages using irc, and usenet and bbs is becoming a thing again. whoch avoids all the so called twitter, fb fake search engines and clones.

@TheSeventhSeagull I been on the internet since it was invented. It is actually harder to find things and boolean search is almost useless at this point. Not to mention the reprice results and the searches stopping between ten and 30 pages, and let's throw in that good luck exploring it as we called it surfing, looking for new and interesting websites, also throw in the ranking system and the pay to play, no matter how good your SEO is it will be ignored and promoted down as other sites, that the company deens more important will be promoted up. You get less results. Overall.

@xEvilRaptorx corporations have to play by a set of rules and laws and selectivly applying them off and on does not work even if the government occasionly looks the other way. Its aprivate company argument doesnt work theire are hundreds of years of laws on the lawbooks saying companies have to OBEY LAWS and Regulations like you and me. You dont play football with out setting rules. People need to know how to play, what to do and what not to do and what defines a win, if a football teams cheats,you cant scream BUT IT IS A PRIVATLY OWNED TEAM.

@nickharrison3748 heck even when we had interne tin the 1990s and met people in chat rooms we used to have meet ups in real life. and when we were offline we were off the internet, not getting annoyed by constant updates and notifications or things you never subscribed too. Remember when pop up ads where bad, but put them on the damn android/google phone and now we just accept them.

i cant use my phone when i am sweating, for god sake i miss physical keyboard damn it, i was forced to buy a damn android, i did go back to flip phones KAIos for example, but i remember my last candybar sliding phone was water proof, it was 6 months old when i wanted to get a new version of it, but i went to the store and i had no choice all stores only sold google phones, all in the same color and same shape and same style. it was horrible, not to mention i have a 20 year old phone that still works not online any more, but its 20 years old i ran it over several times dropped it several times even in coffee and puddles and i can still play the games and some of the operating system, its 2g so its useless as a phone, but think about all the abuse it went through and i still have it and the photos and notes i took with it, and it had a full keyboard

i don't think that's the problem, its no one leaves anythinanymorere, google search stopped doing decent searches, but people still use it because its default on all the android phones, and its a verb, and people do not even seem to know about competitors, their have been and will always be video sharing sites, mind you the vast majority of googles inventions, where things they bought and "improved: if you count a less customizable, harder to monetize, harder to search, harder to leave as an innovation. In the old days when internet companies did this to customers, customers fled for other places. And then they say but non one is over there, and of course, No one was here once either. We are just too damn stupid to reject a increasingly poor project, and by design they are trying to kick us out ans turn it into a cable network on the internet.

i did that four years ago and got a KAIos phone it has a lote more features and internet access and some decent time wasting games, and a tad bit more durable with the dopsies but i used it as a phone and only a phone 99 percent of the time, plus gettinguse texting with 12 keys is an issue.
