  1.  @jonfreeman9682  No, the TI was not superior in anyway to the C64. Commodore did not use cheap chips they made their own custom chips which gave them the edge,cpu used too many cycles to do some thing,etc. The TI99 design was a disaster from the start with crippled 16bit processor and 8 bit ram. I own both and started on a ti99/4a(and do have a soft spot for it) but the c64 mopped the floor with the ti in every way.
