  1. and that is why many peoples stuff ran like crap and got bad mileage. total timing needs to be checked and set right always. Fixed many peoples problems back in the day.

  2. You don't put paste under the coil as it just bolts to the plastic cap,it goes under the HEI module which bolts to the base of the distributor. hopefully that is not a cheap china distributor and cap/rotor,those parts can be total junk.
