My friend works for BNSF and they have systematically taken most of the reasons he had to do the job now, he is disheartened and put his notice in to quit now. Many of his co-workers have already quit.

@BMF0187 Wimps huh, my friend is not a engineer, he is a veteran of 5 wars retired military previously. He is the guy on the ground in rain,shine(100+f summers u cant touch the iron) or snow putting miles of trains together. Some days he walks over 15 miles back and forth in the train yard on those rocks to do it. he's been doing it for 17 years and his knees are shot to the point he has to wear leg braces.. wimp,no..one of the toughest guys i know. engineers on the other hand i cant speak for. The irony is what he makes puts him in such a high tax bracket he jokingly says it would be better to take a lesser job and not have to drive a 150 mile round trip a day to the train yard.
