@radicalbyte total stupidity, do you ignore the fact the grid cant handle mass electrics? your talking trillion dollar upgrades. Nothing wrong with gas diesel,your just buying into the nonsense that electrics are green,which they are not. carbon is not the enemy,its in everything and electrics just transfer where the energy is generated.

@underwherewhore the point is,does it make sense? Its my taxes for someones dumb idea that is not even greener. we have fuel infrastructure already thought the country and its been long paid for.

@underwherewhore where u think the electricity comes from you charge your electric car with? Magic unicorn dust? no it comes from coal,nuclear and some hydro plants(solar and wind are trivial in production still). electric cars solve no problem,they just rely on a FINITE (just like fossil fuel)resource called LITHIUM. These cars use massive amounts of power to charge(up to what 60KW super charging?) batteries from long distances away,which has big efficiency losses in itself. Whats hilarious is some Supercharging station use DIESEL generators. wake up,so some research.

really? i buy a car or truck to do everything i need. Why would i ever buy a limited vehicle? are you saying someone should buy a second car for trips? how is that efficient?
