Apple was busy selling cut down LC models missing the fpu for crazy prices,and the ones with fpu cost even more.My Amiga with a 68040 could best these models easily with shapeshifter/fusion emulating a mac and multitasking in real time at half the price. With the 68060 the amiga could run rings around any 68040 mac of the time. My English teacher had bought a new 040 mac back in the day and hated the fact i could not only emulate it on my Amiga, but all the apps ran way faster. Ironically Apple is now big brother much like they accused Ibm in the old commercial. Apple fanboyism started was back then. Lenovo Laptops have worked well for me also.
