  1. My old 70 chevelle had common head lights,you could get them off the parts store shelf for $5-10,and if i recall correctly, a much brighter halogen version was under $15? While it was common for people to drive around with mis-adjusted stuff,they did work fine.. now some new cars in wrecks are totaled just because the cost of broken lights-some costing thousands of dollars. lol
