@shi01 Soviet Union paid for lend-leaze till 2016, my dude, and it doesn't help your case that the prices for it were self-appointed by american manufacturers, obviously overpricing their good to the roof. Also, you underestimate the value of oil in the modern economy, Russia has every type of resource you can ask for, from paladium and gold to diamonds and coal, from wood and fish to ginseng and iron.

@ancogaming lmao, as if GDP meant anything useful. Overblown bubbles ruining crapitalitsitc economy proved that it doesn't. Russian debt is miniscule compared to US or Ukrainian, which matters the most. The Ukrainian economy is long one leg in the grave and it will crumble long before Russian does. Then, time comes for natural resources of Ukraine to be used by Russia instead of by american investors.

@1LERS1 say thanks to EU and US sanctions. Crimea population are the most loyal Russians there are thanks to the West pushing them down for their vote on referendum to be part of their Homeland. Also, thanks to Zelensky attacking Kursk and Putin not diverting troops from Donbass- the absolute loyalty of Eastern Ukrainians to Russia is also solidified.

@gustavonneslov7564 why would Russians need dollars again? What exchange rate has to do with anything? Troops are paid in rubles, not in dollars. Tech is bough with rubles form local production, not from abroad for dollars, etc. And all meanwhile Russia MAY hit some serous financial troubles, Ukrainian economy is already mostly dead. As soon as Trump pulls off life support from that vegetable - it will crumble instantly.
