They had an agreement with USSR to divide Poland in half and they would be quite vulnerable if they wouldn't hold on to it cause Polish people fought against Germans, while Soviets were marching unopposed (Polish government issued an order to not engage soviet troops... I wonder why). P.S. In a context of Polish independence... well, who exactly except Poles would want that? They were hated by all their neighbors (for a reason) and even UK was more of a reluctant ally to them

  4. lol. What if I say to you that there was 2 revolutions? The first one was against the indecisive Tsar, the second one was against the indecisive government that didn't end the war with Germans? The Civil war started cause of lots of reasons and one of them was rise of nationalism in states of Empire. Ukranians killed Polish and Russians, Polish killed Russian and Ukranians, Finns killed Russians, all while Reds (commies), Whites (Russian nationalist backed by intervention of other countries), anarchists and Greens (local warlords, criminals and corrupt officials) killed each other for the control of those part of the country which weren't affected by minorities' nationalism. There were two major concentration camps on Whites side - the first one was the Japanese one at the Vladivostok (far East), the second one was British one at the North (http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-41271418).
