  1. it cannot be firther from truth. Putin relies heavily on support of two opposing groups inside the government - police\FSB\special forces\generals vs oligarchs\economists\liberals. Those two groups fight for power and they decide what Putin and Russia will do next. And there's even extra influencers: deeply corrupted and gay Orthodox Christian Church, Dagestan and Chechen warlords that often disregard Russian laws with no consequences, organized crime.

  2.  @andershargrave7246  organized crime now runs half of judges with fake diplomas, also majority of governors on the east of the country were part of the gangs in 90s. Not to mention a despicable AYE pro-crime teenager movement that only recently was half-assedly started to be fought against by the government, it came so far that ex-prisoners under agreement with principals were visiting schools to give their "wisdom of life" to the kids who dared not to pay to the well-being of criminals.
