Finns kept digging in new fortresses pointing out their agressive policy against USSR and that they will ally itself with Soviet enemies, which they did. USSR was justified in attacking them. 3. Yes, they were indeed bad guys. Desptie mental gymnastics of this channel, Finns participated in blockade of LEningrad, ensureing starvatoin of millions of civilians and they never paid for their warcrimes. You could add up USA into bad guys of ww2 for the bumerous warcrimes they committed but the main ones were indeed Axis members.

tomassmith1519 USSR did not deliberatly target civilians like US did, nor did USSR commenced firebombing campaigns or nuclear attacks on civilian cities. Also, USSR was the only country during ww2 to execute it's soldiers if such conducted rape or plunder, everyone else was enjoying themselves to the fullest to the point that Americans invented their ill-known tradition of making trophies out of human remains (Heads of Japanese, later on ears of Vietnameese, etc.)

@miikapaananen1363 as "allied" as USSR and USA were after ww2 dividing Korea, duh. As is - not allied at all, pointing red lines crossing which would start a war between the two.

it's not like FInland later on became friends with Soviet Union and later pusshed in lots of resources in well-being of it ungrateful friend, sure.

tomassmith1519 Finland as a nation was created as a puppet of Russian Empire (it's artificial creation ot of Sweeden lands conquered by Russia in it's wars of retaliation against Sweeden agression), out of British schemes, on the premise that it will not be annexed by Russia as long as Russia doesn't pay up all the debts to the brits.

Mind if I remind you taht Finland was the agressor into Continuation war, not the victim. Mind if I remind you that despite losing Continuation war FInland WASN't annexed either? @mikkolappalainen_ Finland remainded independent due to goodwill of the Soviets. Truth be told, Finns shouldhave been annexed for coopearting with Hittler and starving millions of civilians in Leningrad - a warcrime they never paid for.
