@catmeow9459 not really. For example, Japan had serious issue with female alcoholism cause they don't feel loved and they don't feel loved cause it's "losing face" for man to flirt with woman, especially when their initial relationship was already established. So the best case scenario they have there "he was somewhat nice initially and now I don't receive a single nice word from my husband". It's also hilariously bad in Japan's business. To not lose a face you need to always go home after your shift has ended regardless of having work to do or not. You more than encouraged to sleep on your working place cause that shows your commitment to it, changing corporation is extreme lose of a face too - you are supposed to work on the same company until you die and other shit. All in all, saving face is Asian cancer regardless of the nation it applies to.

@catmeow9459 well, how about "Karoshi"? The very term that Japan inventing meaning working yourself to literal death? (born exactly out of "need " of keeping your face of absolute commitment\loyalty) It took many years and lots of insurance money lost to finally.. not changing working climate, nah, but hiring a special person who would shoo workers away as soon as their working day ended (but never sooner). The worst China has got in that regard is playing computer games to death.

@anno5936 Fukushima wouldn't have happened if not for corrupt politicians cowering up the budget shortages and lack of security measures in the power plant to save their faces and positions. Furtermore, the population of Japan is one of the most aging ones out there, their majority is seniors and even some of their people shown compassion and self-sacrifice.. others, like administration of Tsukuba, Ibaraki city - did not, they rather prohibited evacuees from entering shelters asking of them proper papers signed by the Fuskushima administration to show that they are radiation free to not contaminate so precious shelters. Also, some say that it was all a big ploy of the political groups lobbying for Japan to become more defendant on American fuel moving away from self-sufficiency able by using nuclear plants in the first place.

@anno5936 Man, how about that Russian cruise liner that was prohibited to move away from Japanese docks for months while all it's passengers slowly but surely succumbed to Corona? Clearly infected and dead were relocated to Japanese hospitals, those that yet to get disease were left to eventually get it. That was fucking bizarre and inhumane experiment Japanese government willingly went for while saying that they could not afford the risk to relocate yet to be infected foreigners into sterile facilities on the islands for the "safety of their own population".

It's cultural Asian thing, though, not only Chinese one.

Would you blame Spain for Spanish flu too? Why do you consider that a disease not so different from the ones humanity experienced before should be treated as Chinese fault? Unless you have proof of it's artificial origins which no one has, your point is invalid.
