You could argue (about inefficiency of said work or) that professional sportsman were working as everyone else on factories\kolhos only on paper, but they still were making their job as a sportsman. The only leaching elements of that society would be orphans and criminals. I do know that there are currently lots of anarchist scum who just want to loot and plunder in America, though they are essentially centrists who don't give a fuck who would they want to rob from their valuables - government, businesses or other people. Uncle Stalin purged such and was right to do so.

Lmao, the only ones somewhat forced were criminals (duh) or not acclaimed authors (they were not allowed to leach on society so they should have been doing something useful). Your studies and character were evaluated and you were provided with jobs options, but that's not all, - if you was not pleased with what was provided for you you had a choice of political career regardless of your sex or ethnicity. Not pleased with that either? - Try exams to get into different universities. I'm not sure what's you are portraying in your head but USSR was not a "Gulag state". Of course talentless proudful hacks provided with manual labour were pissed off that they surely deserved more, but that was fought by the policy\propaganda: "every sort of work has it's value, regardless what you are doing for living it should be valued by the effort that you bring into prosperity of our common society". Communism is all about common effort for the benefit of all, people lacking compassion and fearing other humans don't get it, though.

Just compare how aggressive capitalistic countries in comparison with communistic ones by the amount of military conflicts made by one and another sort of government. Capitalism lives by exploiting others, and resources of others to keep on being successful.
