  1. A lot of fantasy by Tacitus about Glorious Rome, but with no, or little, evidence at all. Pure propaganda. All speculation. What we know is that several attempts to conquer Germania were devastating unsuccessful. And this defeat had to be presented as a victory in Rome to stay in charge.
