A smattering of general knowledge should be a prerequisite for anyone involving themselves in politics, and so should a reasonable level of intelligence, and a love, or at least respect, for the nation one hopes to help govern should also be. Labour politicians seem to fail on all counts, but then so do most of the current crop of tories, apparently. We need a whole new set of people in our political parties. The current crop are abysmal.

  2.  @galleon1968  They're not only thick but tend to have an actual bigoted hatred of the British people, the English in particular. And sadly that's not uncommon in the Labour ranks. Jack Straw (who got a positive mention from Rod in the video, bizarrely) infamously said "Quite frankly, the English are a race not worth saving." Sadly that opinion seems endemic in the political class these days.

  10. They're all "liabilities", none of them are fit to govern or even serve as MPs. Pretty much the entire political class is unfit for various reasons, whatever colour of rosette they wear. The British people are being betrayed and failed by the political class.

Just because someone comes from the working class doesn't mean that they don't hate the working class. Lammy and Abbottt are not good MPs at all. As for Boris, he's a traitor to the entire nation, not just the working class.

  21. Pretty much everyone in the political class is either incompetent, a s**t or a traitor, whatever colour of rosette they wear. Still carrying on arguing who is best out of the tories and Labour is pathetic when they're both utterly dire. See-sawing between the two is the reason why the country's up s**t creek and ordinary people's lives are increasingly screwed.
