  5.  @LucyKelly-of6cu  Boots isn't British, unfortunately. When they were bought out by American money, most of their manufacturing was moved abroad, many British workers were laid off. We stopped shopping there then.

  13. @Ultraman_123  Every nation on Earth has had slaves at one time or another. The Ottomans, the Arabs, the Berbers, literally millions of Europeans have been enslaved by others over the centuries. Some talk like the Atlantic slave trade was the only slave trade to ever have existed. Africans were enthusiastic participants in it, it still exists in Africa and the Arab world today, so there's no need for anyone to be on their high horse about slavery. Also, check out the "merchants" who owned the slave ships, they often were not European.
