The BBC gave a platform for a non-English "British" woman to criticise the women's team because, she said, she "couldn't identify with them because they didn't look like her" and the mix of the team was due to our waysism. But then, if English men say they don't identify with the England men's team because "they don't look like us", then that's due to our waysism too. There's a clear dual standard in effect. Nobody dared criticise the young woman for her comments, whereas if an English person says the same, they're castigated for it.

The problem is, it's a symptom of a much wider malaise. The establishment and the media are constantly pushing the idea that the newcomers are superior (just look at all the ads featuring bm/wf couples) and football is part of that. Why is this happening?

How is it a win for us if the team is us in name only?

But their ability is being used to stifle legitimate criticism of an unwanted and harmful government policy that we have never voted for. See the bigger picture.

@Islm-borghere W children are being discriminated against in schools, colleges, and universities in many ways, not just in sports. The group least likely to get a University education now is working class w boys, yet all the resources are devoted to ensuring that diverse kids do well.
