  1. There's strong evidence to suggest that a British heritage man flew and landed a heavier than air craft in New Zealand some months before the Wright brothers did. Research Richard Pearse. He was a generous man who shared his research with the Wrights by correspondence with them, though I don't think they ever credited him with helping their endeavours. What a surprise.
