@foundation of Britain 1603 Correct. "British" is an umbrella term that covers the four (possibly more) similar white European ethnicities that historically made up the peoples of Britain. Hence, a British person is someone of those ethnicities, which is entirely different to being a British citizen, a "paper brit", a fact that Joel apparently finds difficult to grasp when he implies that people of "different" ethnicities, IE foreigners, can be "British".
