  10. That it's fantasy is immaterial. It's a European fantasy that Tolkien created to give the English a mythology and the characters in it should reflect that, as they did in Peter Jackson's films. Why do we constantly have to give up our heroes, our myths and legends to foreigners? Yet, "cultural appropriation" is seen as grossly offensive and very wrong when we do it...
