I did some voluntary work at a school for special needs kids. Kids from that community were hugely overrepresented in the students there, despite being only a few per cent of the population in the area, more than half the kids in the school were from that group. Part of the problem is that there's no incentive for them to avoid this practice as, when it results in birth defects, the state takes care of everything. The taxpayers foot the bill.

@DesHewitt-mj8lb Like bigamy, that's something else that is allowed for some.

I saw that, a shocking programme. There was one couple depicted who had five severely disabled kids, it seemed that they'd just kept trying for a normal one because there was no financial penalty to them at all, their attitude seemed to be "Why not keep trying? The kuffar pays."

@fransbuijs808 I'm not saying that they want disabled kids, I'm saying that there's no incentive for them to not risk it.

An excellent comment!

It's also shocking that nothing has changed despite the powers that be being in full knowledge of the situation.

@Thenogomogo-zo3un it's supposed to be three years, in practice though it's usually between three and 3.5 years, and Motability cars are funded by the disabled person's mobility allowance.

@jimjones-bk2is Not "very few" at all, many less than mainstream schools but there are still quite a few. There are at least four in my small city.
