  1. I used to donate, but had to have a transfusion during an operation. After that, they didn't want donations from me as there was a chance that I had been given contaminated blood. Gee thanks, NHS!

  2.  @fa9183  They do, but this was a long time ago and there was a risk that I got some blood with CJD in it, and it can take decades to show, so they said... :(
