On the Talking Pictures TV channel (Freeview and online), they routinely show British documentary films from the sixties, fifties and even earlier. These prove that the view that we have always been a diverse nation is wrong, diverse in the modern sense of the word at least.

If Britain was always "diverse" why didn't the "diverse" Britons of olden days campaign against the British slave trade and colonialism?

@1oriss My junior school in the early and mid seventies was completely white, as were the primary schools I went to before.
