@huwwiliams8426 Being a British Citizen because you hold a bit of paper is different to being British by heritage.

@tinaunderhill5412 Sorry, but being a British Citizen because you hold a bit of paper is different to being British by heritage. To be "a Briton" you have to have English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, or Cornish heritage, and there are others such as Manx. These heritages, ethnicities and cultures make up the British peoples, being a British Citizen by virtue of some legal process is not the same at all.

@davidstrachan5688 You are a prime example of that, your spelling of "bigotry" above, and your inability to distinguish between "their" and "there" prove it.

Youtube doesn't recognise irony yet.

@englishciderlover7347 Idi Amin, a terrible human being, but he wasn't wrong about everything.

Excellent comment, it encapsulates my own feelings completely.
5
Excellent comment. It's his own racism that causes him to feel that way, yet he won't be criticised for it.

@stanleyshannon4408 Well said, Stanley.

@huwwiliams8426 The "Out of Africa" theory, is just that, a "theory". It has not been proven, but in any case, if it is true, the point of divergence is so long ago, it's utterly irrelevant.

That's why they do it, to make us depressed.

@huwwiliams8426 No worries. :) All the best!

@listeningto8371 Not all countries grant citizenship to everyone born on their soil, our government's decision to do so is therefore a legal construction. Maybe not a process as such, but still not some immutable, natural law as some idiots seem to think.
2
@whiteknight-m4q True, and the strongest emotional link would come from having long ancestry somewhere and loving the nation and culture one's ancestors built and passed down.
2
@Andre-vr1ul Yes.
2
@andypicken7848 No, but yours is.
2
@huwwiliams8426 I wasn't sure of your point, but I thought I was agreeing with you.

@carlsummers2316 Well said, Carl!

@Andre-vr1ul Some idiots seem think so.

@tinaunderhill5412 You're the one who needs to do some research. Look into mitochondrial DNA. Yes, there has been some mixing with other European peoples but we're still mainly distinct ethnicities. Stop spouting tired and stupid pro-imm talking points. Loving one's own people and wanting one's people and culture to c9ntinue is not bigotry.
1
@stanleyshannon4408 Excellent comments, Stanley.

@phreatomagmatic8016 Do some research, it's not rubbish at all. You're dthe one talking rubbish. The fact that we have been "invaded" a few times over a millennium ago is irrelevant anyway, we haven't been invaded since 1066 and the numbers of Normans that came here then were miniscule compared to the influx of the last twenty years.
1
@phreatomagmatic8016 Bollocks. Research mitochondrial DNA.

Academic studies have proven that diversity is harmful to mental health and has various ill-effects that are simply not discussed.
1
@bobmathews9072 most of us are, it seems.
1
@davidstrachan5688 You can't even spell "bigotry", let alone recognise it. Hilarious and pathetic at the same time.

@hilaryjohns4049 Defeatism helps nobody, except the enemy. What comes can also go.

@stevenyoung9584 A stupid thing to say. My ancestry in Britain goes back over a thousand years, but I'm an atheist. Plenty of British heritage and English heritage people aren't Christian.

True, undoubtedly.

You are a British citizen, that's not necessarily the same as being "British".

Exactly. Yet Ws are supposed to be the "privileged" ones.
