  2. Im not sure we "managed well enough" before the NHS. Poor people usually had to suffer and die without medical care in the old days. Having said that, the NHS running as it is now is clearly unsustainable. It treats far too many people who have never paid a penny towards it, is overstaffed with administrators and needs to economise and focus on its most important aims, saving British lives and improving our health, no more fripperies like sex-changes and cosmetic surgery funded by the public purse. No more free treatment for chancers from abroad either.
