  1.  @MrArtmundus  The Poles did not crack it, they very cleverly, audaciously and skilfully managed to swipe an Enigma machine, dismantle it, learn its secrets and put it back before the Germans realised. They shared the information with the allies. They deserve huge respect for that. However, after this, the Germans upgraded the system and the upgraded system was what the people at Bletchley park later cracked with Colossus.
