  1. From what I understand, they are going to charge people more rent and then give them a kickback in the form of stock in the company so that they are "building wealth". (I believe it's probably the same company here, I read this a few days ago though.) It's just another scheme to not only raise people's rent but also force them to buy stock in your company thereby raising the price while contributing their hard earned money to paying your dividends every quarter. It's just another form of exercising financial control over you while also upping your rent even further but gaslighting you into believing it's a good thing. Landlords are parasites.
