Sounds like they agree that capitalism is terrible but are confused as to the definitions of capitalism and socialism and corporate propaganda has convinced them to switch those definitions in their mind. But then as soon as you say corporations should be regulated and not able to jack up the price on your insulin by 20,000% they are like... wait... no... they should have the freedom to charge whatever price they want.

  32. The same people that had their entire educations paid for by the government are pissed when young people want the tiniest break after education was completely defunded. Before Reagan college was subsidized around 80% paid for by the government on average. After Reagan only 20% subsidized by the gov on average. Plus schools were pressured to raise prices to boost profits and become gatekeepers of privilege based on familial wealth and access.

THese people don't understand that no matter how much oil we drill we will never be energy independent because we don't produce (or even have the industry/equipment to produce) the same type of oil that we use. There are different types of oil and we actually import most of the oil we use even as we export most of the oil that we drill here in the US. Because of globalization it's cheaper to send it around the world 6 times to be refined in countries with "cheap" labor rather that produce it here. It would take 10's of trillions of dollars to build all the infrastructure to be energy independent on just oil here. And that would make oil prices higher after that as well because again, it's cheaper to send it around the world than produce here.
