  1. Yeah that's a great theory... except the part where they covered up any research about damaging the environment for 50 years and still deny the damage to this day. But yeah sure. And the oil shock in the 70's' wasn't caused by the US, it was caused by Arab countries backlash against US and western support for Israel and later by the Iranian revolution and extreme price gouging by oil companies.

  2. The people who do bad things are motivated by greed. The people to do good things are not. We just give all the power and money to the former because that will motivate them to... checks notes.... do good? Just like the mob. You know, those famously generous and benevolent philanthropists.
