Yeah, these organizations have just become another form of predatory disaster capitalism utilizing aid-washing (like green-washing) to funnel as much taxpayer money as possible to rich folks and private contractors. For $3 billion you could literally buy every single homeless person a house and give them a retirement fund but instead the executives get mansions and yachts and the private contractors hired to build low income housing charge $1 million per studio unit and then never complete the job. It's all a con. Just like everything else the US does.

  2. And where is a homeless person going to accrue the funds to move? Even if someone gave them money to buy a car and drive to a rural area, then what? How are they going to eat, where are they going to stay, how are they going to get a job? Getting a job requires a phone, internet, an address and nice clothes at the very least. Plus jobs don't pay enough to afford housing and in order to even rent a place you generally need at least 3 months rent up front. (1st and last months rent + security deposit) And generally renting a place requires an address and good credit score and rental history. Are you seeing an issue here? Once you are homeless you are basically screwed.
