  1. The whole point is to make education inaccessible to the poors to decrease social mobility. If you listen to the people in charge today, Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, etc, they hold the belief that being born rich is a virtue and poverty is a sin. They also all moved here from apartheid South Africa with parents that left Germany after WWII.
