Capitalism is not a failure.... if you are part of the 1% it's a roaring success.

@andyrantshumanphilosopher7571 Yes. Labor is only slavery if you are being taken advantage of. Let's say that all auto manufacturers want to raise profit margin and so they stop raising wages for workers. Now you are shit out of luck, you can't go get another job since it wouldn't help (you'd be making the same underpaid wage) so you are stuck making a wage that is not proportional to the value of your labor. And that's what Marxism aimed to correct. Workers owning the rights to production so that their labor was fairly compensated and nobody was at the top stealing from the cookie jar. Capitalism is not 100% voluntary agreement since you have to work to live and most people have to work for a big greedy corporation and therefore do not have any bargaining power since there are always more people waiting for your underpaid position and you can't just go get a better paying job or else none of us would be complaining about a minimum wage. If I could just go get a good/better paying job I'd have a lot less complaints about it. Just take Amazon for example. They pay their warehouse workers under the avg wage but brag about not paying them the absolute minimum. But they get away with it because enough people don't have any other options but to accept that bare minimum if they want to eat.

@andyrantshumanphilosopher7571 Through Marxism, the people own the means of production so that definition does not make any sense except when viewing late stage capitalism through the lens of Marxism. Which is pretty much unrefutably, just look at the wealth disparity in the US not to mention countries Saudi Arabia and all those oil princes that own the means of producing oil while the peasants around them starve.
