Damn this is hilarious and sad at the same time. Reminds me of Elon Musk saying "don't build public transit in CA, I'll build a hyperloop instead". Then the public transit gets canceled in favor of the tech bros nonsense and then Elon replies "well actually, since the public transit has been canceled I think it's only fair that I forget about the whole thing". Fuckin' grifter.

lol But at least Elon's idea is to help people with debilitating issues like paralysis, parkinsons, neuromuscular diseases. Earbuds occasionally falling out not being remotely in the same category of quality of life improvement. Elon's ideas are fantastic but they are also very predictable and unimaginative. He's just got the financial and technical/engineering (<- I mean his teams of people) backing to implement the most obvious answers to big problems.

@BenjaminKeller Philanthropy: Donating money to your own business or organizations and causes that aid your business but that appear at surface level to be moral acts of charity unaffiliated with your business ventures. Example: Bud light spent $10 million dollars on a superbowl ad to let us all know they spent $10k on "charity" so please buy more beer to support our good causes.

Can we just appreciate that Zilla's journalistic standards have put the BBC to shame. Truth is dead. Glad we got Coffee to keep a little hope alive.

Wish we could do that to Amazon. I'd love to see Bezos disappear, even if it means we all have to chip it.

Only the best lawyers get their clients names wrong.

can you provide a link? I'd like to dislike it please.

This was VERY well explained. Great job, as concise as possible!

Wow, what an absolute baby-boy. Although I feel like this is pretty much how all business works in the US now. Look at Rick Scott or basically any medical/insurance provider, they are all doing some variation of this same thing.

Literally everything the Paul brothers do is a scam.
3
What's that saying? When a person robs a bank it's called theft. When a bank robs a person it's called finance. Only thing that would surprise me is if this scammer doesn't get a full bailout from the government that goes straight to his bank account.
2
Wow! That ending was spectacular! lol Coffee videos are high quality and I love the whole theme.

You should do a video about Chamath as well. He's very insightful and says some valuable things to connect with retail investors but he himself is essentially just a pump and dumper with SPAC's. He hypes a SPAC and says it's a great investment and puts tons of money into it and claims he will keep it there, but then 2-4 weeks later always comes up with an excuse as to why he had to withdrawal all his money out and then it crashes.
2
wow. that was super informative. I've not thought about or even heard about pretty much everything here.
2
You should do a story about Forbes being a scam as well. It seems to me that Forbes, Benzinga, Motley Fool etc. are all the same as these youtube scammers, just with the air of more legitimacy and probably less fraud.
2
stable coins are made by companies = not impossible to regulate. They don't like governance tokens.

@talktothehand1212 You are literally describing the US dollar. Nobody knows how to calculate it's worth, it's not backed, the supply is constantly increasing while old bills are being destroyed.

Congrats!

I like the detective stories, miss those bomb ass outro songs though.
1
ponzinomics ... ah yes, the core philosophy of capitalism and banking. (at least in the US)
1
Tucker Carlson can say whatever he wants but we can't even dislike a video? Youtube is going downhill fast.
1
These people are fucking nuts, they make me want to sell btc immediately.
1
That stuntman's testimony was spot on, but not just about Celsius. About Capitalism in general in the US.
1
Theranos chick reminds me of that doll from SAW.
1
Damn! You should kept the middle-age Stewie cut. That would have been better than straight bald. Also nice job helping to distinguish the real charity from the scam.
1
This is like the small-time drug busts that allow the larger runners to get away with it. Look squirrel.
1
You forgot the killer outro music. Seems like Crypto is 99% scams and 1% actual projects. Even legit projects seem to get taken over by pump and dump cults.
1
A crypto based on Capitalism that scammed everyone into destitution to support the few at the top was a scam!! Color me shocked!!
1
Am I missing something? Why does Seth seem to find this to be the funniest thing in the world? Considering he supposedly spent a crapload of money/time on the NFT and then production of the show.
1
Any time you hear the words Trading Bot, or trading strategies it should be an instant red flag, please run away.
1
@SaviorUnkind Also the US dollar is backed by nothing. We are no longer on the gold standard meaning that there is no backing to the dollar. (1$ does NOT = $1 of gold)

"I don't have 8 million cash" next sentence: "I'll give you 32 million cash if you buy a couple shirts"

@Karan-Aujla I'd say mixed bag. Out of all the financial youtubers Graham gives the most reasonable advice of: max your your 401k, invest in index funds, don't take more risk than you can afford etc. But he's also willing to promote any and every scam or scummy company with zero due diligence or accountability when his followers inevitably lose all their money. He's already rich as hell so he doesn't need to scam his following but chooses to anyways. Other financial youtubers seem to be all downhill from there. If you ever see Meet Kevin, that dude would literally sell his grandmother to kidnappers to have her organs harvested if he got a cut. Dude is ruthless.

@DeadlyPlatypus But the number of regulations hasn't climbed. It's gotten lower. Trump deregulated everything that Obama regulated after the 2008 crash. He literally deregulated the Dodd-Frank act which would have prevented this exact collapse from happening. Same with the rail companies. Trump deregulated them almost to the point of zero regulations. There's videos of him doing both btw.

At 3:55 she goes on to say she's hopes to do it again!

Excellent analysis! It seems most of crypto is just the elite trying to pump their own stock. "Hey I bought this thing that doesn't do anything and you should buy it too now to make my investment go up." (I say this having put money into it myself.)
1
You should look deeper into his "philanthropy" work. It's pretty twisted and basically just backdoor capitalism or new-age feudalism.
1
Like his association with pushing Monsanto on Indian farmers or how Gates made sure the Oxford vaccine was given to Astrazenica instead of being open to the world which is what Oxford wanted to do originally until Gates stepped in and said "no, I like money, dead people and power".
1
You know you are doing something right if these scumbag "gurus" are going this hard. Keep up the good work.
