  1. Except enacting a wage freeze wouldn't help anything in our time, 2023. Wages haven't kept up with inflation since the 70's. Minimum wage is so low you can't afford food, housing or healthcare in any state. We really should just enact a 90+% tax on windfall profits. And increase corporate and capital gains taxes for the wealthy by a significant amount.

  2. Soon rice will be a luxury good. Everything is a monopoly now. Consumer goods are twice as concentrated as they were in 2006. 3-4 companies own 90% of the grocery store.
